East Somerset District Scout Shop is owned and run by East Somerset District Scout Council. Its purpose is to provide uniform, badges, programme material and other equipment to members of the Scout Movement. All profits are returned to Scouting in East Somerset.

The shop is located at St Andrews Scout Hall, Preston Grove, Yeovil, Somerset, BA20 2BQ. This is not a postal address. All communications should be conducted through scoutshop@eastsomersetscouts.org.uk, our Facebook page (East Somerset District Scout Shop).


Payment Methods

Personal cheques are no longer accepted. We accept all major credit and debit cards, with payments being encrypted through PayPal. Payment must be made in full at point of order.  In order to purchase any official Scout Association badges, you must provide your full membership number, without which the order will not be processed.

Badges are occasionally sponsored by a company and will bear the logo of that company. We have no control over this sponsorship and are unable to provide unsponsored badges until the sponsorship runs its course. The appearance on this website of an unsponsored badge is no guarantee that the badges you receive will be unsponsored.


Shipping and Handling

We post via Royal Mail (1st or 2nd class) to mainland UK. Please contact us if there is any problem with the shipping of your order. However, the Royal Mail is a public service and we can take no responsibility for any damage or loss which occurs during transit. Please note that the shop is run by a volunteer team. We will make every effort to despatch your order within 48 hours, although this may not always be possible. The cost of shipping is automatically calculated according to the items selected.

If the item you order is not in stock, we will advise you of this fact, and will obtain it as soon as possible. These items will be forwarded to you at no extra charge.

The prices on our website are inclusive of VAT at 20% where applicable.



If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, please contact the Shop Manager via scoutshop@eastsomersetscouts.org.uk, our Facebook page (East Somerset District Scout Shop). We will be pleased to arrange an exchange or return, as you wish. Items must be returned in a new, unused and saleable condition, complete with all packaging.

Please note that orders made in customer error may not be exchangeable.
